Valvular Disease
Recommendation
1- Stroke or TIA with valvular AF —> Warfarin is recommended
2- Mechanical mitral valve —> stroke or TIA history prior to valve replacement —> Aspiring 75-100mg/day with warfarin and INR target of 3.0
3- Stroke or TIA with native aortic/nonrheumatic mitral valve disease and no AF —> Antiplatelet therapy is recommended
4- Bioprosthetic valve (Aortic or mitral) —> stroke or TIA history prior to valve replacement —> Aspirin therapy > Anticoagulation therapy
